Samples are registered via the ‘Sample Register’ tab. If the sample is registered for an existing client and field, then you can navigate to this tab directly. If the sample belongs to a new client and/or field then you create these first via the ‘Clients’ tab.
Click the ‘Sample Register’ tab. The system will display a few questions that you need to answer. First you select the 'Analysis Type'. Select 'Soil Analysis' to register a soil sample.
The Spectrometer Code is a 3 letter combination that defines the first 3 letters of your barcode. This code is connected to your Alpha and written on the side of the sensor. If you have one lab then you can only select one option. If you own multiple labs then you select the Alpha code of the lab that you are going to use for the analysis.
The next step is to select your client. Click 'Choose Client' to get access to all available client profiles. The latest created client will be shown on top of the list. You can also search for clients by using the 'Search' function.
You connect the sample to the field where the soil sample was taken. This is previously defined by you when you created the client profile. Select the field and enter the correct details. You are also asked to enter the details of the crop and target yield. This data is relevant when a fertilizer advice is calculated. If you have a SoilCares service without the standard fertilizer advice, then you are still asked to enter these details. In this case the selected information will not influence the results on your report. If you use a soil lab uses an additional fertilizer module then extra questions will be asked at this stage. It is possible to add up to 3 crops to your advice.
Print the barcodes for your sample. We advise to print at least 3 barcodes per sample. One barcode for the original sample bag, one barcode for the prepared sample that you use for the measurement, and one barcode for the prepared sample that you can keep as a spare.
You finalize your order by selecting your customers region and the way of payment. The payment option is only for your own administration. You can monitor how each of your customers has paid for your service. This option is not connected to the number of credits that is used by your lab.
